Besides a crystal clear pool, without algae and without chorine odour, that’s easier to manage and fresher to swim in, Pool Crystals makes sound economic sense too! The table below demonstrates that by investing in the use of Pool Crystals your savings might reap you 700% as a percentage of what you paid for Pool Crystals.

By using Pool Crystals you will substantially gain by reducing your swimming pool operating costs. You’ll use less chlorine, total alkalinity / pH adjuster chemical, and be able to run your filter for less time. Also, because Pool Crystals makes water less corrosive on metal parts and fittings and helps to preserve the life of your salt chlorinator cell, if you have one, you’ll spend less on pool hardware maintenance as well!

By way of example, our compiled table depicts swimming pool operating costs before and after using Pool Crystals that you might reasonably expect for a 400,000 litre pool. (An average back yard pool is about 50,000 litres, just divide the final savings in the table by 8. The percentage return is the same however, it’s just on a smaller scale). What you will ultimately save will depend on many variables as no two swimming pools are exactly the same.

Circumstances surrounding a swimming pool can vary a lot. Some pools have very high usage and/or are located in very hot climates.

Some pools accumulate debris – leaves on a pool floor can really consume chlorine if they are not regularly vacuumed away.

Many pools have different filter/pump/chlorination configurations. Some pumps are more powerful consuming more energy but have greater throughput for better water circulation. Some filters are sand, some are diatomaceous earth, some have filter cartridges. Chlorination can be implemented with external chlorine you buy from a shop (at varying prices and quality) or can be mechanical via a salt chlorination system.

If your swimming pool is in a remote location, pool chemical purchase costs might be higher as well as for power. For those that test their pool water regularly and maintain total alkalinity, pH and chlorine levels as required, the pool is less likely to go out of kilter and chemicals will be saved.

The variations in pool configurations and circumstances are thus many, so use the table as a guide only.
